Cette émission, devenue mythique au fil des années, a permis à plusieurs générations de découvrir le meilleur de la musique anglo-saxonne. La longévité exceptionnelle des Nocturnes sur l'antenne de RTL donne l'occasion à Georges Lang de revenir sur la programmation de son émission en proposant ce coffret de 4 CD (un par décennie) reprenant les titres les plus emblématiques.
